Our History

Utah Valley Paratransit is a division of United Way Community Services and has been in the transportation business for 40 years operating for 28 years as the service provider for UTA Paratransit services. All staff and operators are trained under the Division of Services for People with Disabilities (DSPD) and the Department of Human Services (DHS).

Utah Valley Paratransit has been providing services for UTA since 1986. We serve agencies who contract with us to provide services for the elderly and people with disabilities. Paratransit is UTA’s ADA Service for riders who have a disability or condition that prevents them from making some or all of their trips on fixed-route buses. We see our customers as PERSONS WITH A DISABILITY, not as disabled persons.

In addition to our UTA contract, we provide transportation under contract with Mountainland Association of Governments (MAG) to transport senior citizens living in Lehi, Saratoga Springs, Eagle Mountain area, Alpine, Highland, American Fork, Cedar Hills, Pleasant Grove, Lindon, Orem, Provo, Springville, and Mapleton. Additionally, we provide some transportation for the disabled clients of Ability First, Turn, Danville, Recreation and Habilitation Services (RAH), and other agencies in our community.
